Sheaves, Multiple V-Ribbed Sheave
A Multiple V-Ribbed Sheave is manufactured from high quality iron castings
for belt cross sections H, J, K, L, and M. Every sheave is fabricated
to customer specifications. The durability of our Multiple V-Ribbed Sheaves
renders them ideal for high-speed power transmission applications.
Diamond Precision Products® offers an additional cost saving alternative
to your v-belt or “multiple v-ribbed” designs by offering
a combination pulley/flywheel. This cost savings feature will save you
time and money.

Advantages of the Multiple V-Ribbed Sheave
- Exceptional smooth drive
A smaller belt and groove section leaves less room for variables.
The result is a very smooth and relatively quiet drive.
- Durability
Our Multiple V-Ribbed Sheaves are manufactured from cast iron material
giving optimum power transmission over all of the extraordinary life
of the sheave.
- Higher horsepower capability in smaller space drive designs
These grooves are designed to maximize surface contact with the belt.
No space is wasted. In all groove styles, only the sides of the belt
make contact with the pulley. The “multiple v-ribbed” design
simply creates more side contact surface by eliminating the wide bottom
surface found on other styles. Greater surface contact translates directly
into great power transmission capacity. The fact that each groove section
is smaller than other designs means that they distort less when bent
around a small diameter pulley, and arc of contact can be increased
as well. The result is that by using Multiple V-Ribbed Sheaves you
can transmit more power in a smaller space than with conventional drives.
